Meet Our Team

Matt Ryan began his career in senior living more than a decade ago. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, he developed a passion for serving seniors early in life, having spent much of his childhood with his grandparents. He graduated with honors from Ashford University in San Diego, California, earning a degree in Communications and quickly applying his skills within the senior living industry.

 

Matt’s first community was in Portland, Oregon, where he supported a property with more than 247 apartments and nearly 320 residents as Executive Director. During this time, he developed a strong appreciation for the role leadership and clear communication play in successful operations and quality care.

 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Matt helped lead one of the first assisted living communities in Oregon to organize vaccinations for residents, an effort that was recognized in local news coverage.

 

Known for elevating communities to the next level, Matt has demonstrated consistent success in driving occupancy growth, improving employee retention, and enhancing resident satisfaction. He is widely recognized for building meaningful relationships with residents and their families while fostering a culture of compassion and accountability among his teams.

 

Matt currently serves as Executive Director at Allara Senior Living, where he supports more than 105 residents and leads a team of over 73 employees, ensuring every resident and family receives the highest level of care and service.
